DDI is a unique aliphatic diisocyanate that can be used to prepare polymers with compounds containing active hydrogen. It is a long-chain compound with a 36-carbon dimer fatty acid backbone. The main chain structure gives DDI superior flexibility, water resistance and low toxicity to other aliphatic isocyanates. DDI is a low viscosity liquid that is easily soluble in most polar or non-polar solvents. Because it is aliphatic isocyanate, has the characteristics of non-yellowing. It has many advantages of low toxicity, easy to use, soluble in most solvents, controllable reaction time and low water sensitivity.
