Advantage:
Dimer diisocyanate is an unique aliphatic diisocyanate which can be used to prepare low molecular weight derivatives or special polymers with compounds containing active hydrogen. It is a long chain compound with 36 carbon atoms of the two fatty acid backbones. The backbone structure endows DDI with flexibility, water resistance, and low toxicity over other aliphatic isocyanates. DDI is a low viscosity liquid that is readily soluble in most polar or non-polar solvents. Since it is an aliphatic isocyanate, it possesses the property of anti-yellowing.
